AbstractPresent literatures have neglected the comprehensive analysis of US antidumping injury to Chinese industry, but research in this field is valuable especially after financial crisis when trade protectionism is prevalent. The paper selected firm summation industry panel data from 1997 to 2007, divide all firm, foreign firm and SOE firm of three samples, used dynamic panel GMM estimator to analyze US antidumping injury to Chinese industry and compared their different influence to European Union and developing countries’ antidumping measures. We got some important conclusions. First, US antidumping have significant influence to Chinese industry. Firm number and employee hurt the most, then total output and profit, and export receives the least influence. Second, EU antidumping has more influence than US generally. Specifically, EU antidumping influence firm number, output and profit more; but US antidumping influence export and employee more. Third, developing countries’ antidumping effects significantly lower than US, but it has more impact to foreign firms. Last, US, EU and developing countries’ antidumping measures all have protectionism nature, especially for developing countries’ antidumping. Therefore, it should construct and consummate Chinese antidumping prevention mechanism, improve antidumping resolving ability for firms, oppose trade protectionism, and use WTO system to promote trade liberalization.
