内容提要 | 本文探讨基础设施如何影响企业库存。为此,本文将考虑质量的公路数据以及工业企业数据库进行合并,通过路径分析和行业划分的方法,发现基础设施可以通过扩大市场规模,加剧市场竞争和降低运输成本三种路径影响企业库存。与以往研究不同的是,本文发现扩大市场规模是基础设施影响企业库存的首要因素。本文的研究丰富了基础设施与企业存货关系的讨论。更为重要的是,在克服内生性的前提下,本文在一个统一的框架下研究了基础设施通过何种路径促进经济发展,并对各路径的贡献进行了量化。本文的研究验证了基础设施具有扩大企业规模,提高企业经营效率以及增强市场活力等作用,这些作用都体现了基础设施在经济发展中所起的重要角色。 |
Abstract | This paper discusses how infrastructure can affect inventory. We use a new database of infrastructure which considers infrastructure quality and the database of industrial enterprises, providing evidence that infrastructure can affect inventory adjustment through market expansion, competition aggravation and transportation cost reduction. Among them, the market expansion channel is the primary one. This paper enriches the discussion of infrastructure and inventory adjustment. More importantly, as we overcome the endogeneity problem, this paper sheds light on important role in economic development. We prove that infrastructure can enlarge firm’s scale, improve firm’s efficiency and enhance market vitality. |
